The new Broadway-bound musical that brings back the fun and nostalgia of happier days!

"Palisades Park: The Musical" is a coming of age story that captures the spirit of young love set against the backdrop of one of the most famous amusement parks of the 20th century.

The stagecraft vision of this immersive musical is quite progressive. It employs SFX, surround sound design, 180 degree video projection and even the element of scent to evoke audience memories of amusement parks, carnivals and county fairs with smells like buttered popcorn and cotton candy.

The creator of the show is Mark Fabian, who grew up walking distance from Palisades Park in Cliffside, NJ. Through 26 original songs and a script best described as a dramedy, he draws the audience into the various relationships in the lives of 7 recent high school graduates working in the park during the summer of 1971.

From 1961-1971 Palisades Park was at the peak of its popularity when New York’s most beloved Dee Jay “Cousin” Brucie brought spectacular new talent to the park weekly to entertain throngs of teenagers and adults alike.

Palisades Park was the subject of a hit song of the same name that reached #3 across America in 1962. Today the of that publishing is owned by Sir Paul McCartney.

It was originally recorded by "Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon and written by television producer Chuck Barris the creator of The Newlywed Game, The Dating Game and The Gong Show. The song has been covered by Shelley Faberes, The Beach Boys, Gary Lewis & the Playboys, Blondie, Bruce Springsteen and Joey Ramone. The publishing of that song is owned by Sir Paul McCartney.

"Palisades Park: The Musical" is a love letter to a bygone era and a nostalgic journey that will transport audiences back to a simpler time. No matter your age or where you grew up… there is a Palisades Park in everyone’s life.
